Lav x Black offspring

LOL Harry, I meant to write Black. I do know not to mix the blue, but I hadn't researched if splashes would come out of the lav/black offspring, even if crossed back. MY title was correct. Hope they don't freeze, Harry. They didn't come today and it is supposed to be wicked tonight.

Jennifer,
Here is a picture of pen M-1 where all the visual Lavenders will definately be from. Charmaine

Kelpie,
A black split is a black bird carrying the recessive lavender gene.

Jean,
Egg color in pen M-2 with the brother to that rooster is real good but all the hens are pure blacks. They were my best hens over the last few years. Egg color in M-1 with Lavenders and splits vary from what I think you call minty green and some a little darker green, blue/green and some blues or greyish blue.
Feather quality on the splits are nice, the lavender roosters are good, the lavender hens are more on the soft feather type or course like. The roosters are half John's and half another Lav strain. The lavender hens are the other strain without John's blood in them. The splits are half the other strain and half Clionsky with some of Paul's % in them. There are also a few hens that aren't split with 1/2 Pauls blood in them. Plus Paul's male is in with two lavenders. Jean I did not forget about you. Harry
