I've read that white colored chickens are more prone to predator attack. Since they stand out more against the natural environment.

Is this the case with Lavender color as well? How about Splash color?

We occasionally have a hawk here and there so I was just curious. Looking at getting an Opal Legbar and Splash Marans this year! My current flock of 6 blend in very well with the earth!

Well, we just had a lavender and brown guinea jump the fence and wander down a paddock that had overgrown grass. A predator attacked. The brown one survived. No sign of the the lavender one. Can only assume she was eaten and maybe an easier target because of her color. =(

Yes, I have heard for chickens that black chickens are more predator proof and less likely to be attacked by hawks.
