BTW: you can tell the sex by the female quacking and the males making a whispering peep sound.. pick up each of them at a time and they should tell you what sex they are

waahhhhhh 3 whispering boys(2 silver/lav & 1 Black)... 2 loud mouth girls, (1silver/Lav and one Blue which is mom)
 
duckfanatic all your fault now I want ducks after reading about snowy I am doing my best to not jump the gun and prepare for them next spring and not just order them now like I want to and almost did. I am so hooked on runners now gotta get some:D
 
I have a similarly colored duck. She's about 2 1/2 months old now. I'm guessing the parents were my Saxony runner duck (of very nice form) and our (very determined) blue Magpie drake who managed to find his way into the runners' pen every few days. I've been trying to figure out the genetics, and Holderread's genetics table in Raising Ducks is helpful, but with my limited knowledge I'm still baffled. Don't know if you can see it, but she's got an apricot colored spot in the middle of her head (similar to the Magpie 'cap'?) We call her 'Peaches'.

I do think the rescued lavender runner is beautiful! (Well, okay all the others all are too!). But, I'm soooo happy you managed to find each other - I think it was definitely meant to be.
 
I just realized that one of the ones I though was white is really the lav color you have. I probably would of thought she was just a grey white if it was not for this thread. I will have to take a pic of her for conformation. But it would make sence since she came with the blue runners I ordered.
