I just recently received a little Lavender Orpington chick with slate grey legs, but its toes are half white, do the toes change color as they age or will it always have half white toes?

Thanks for the reply and the welcome! Yeah, she is suppose to be a female but I think I already see a little comb! She just looks like she has Renauds because her toes are half white.Hi, welcome to BYC!
It'll stay.... undesirable in many breeds as far as their standard is concerned. But not sure if it's accepted in the Lav Orp. Or if Lav is even accepted in general for Orps since I'm not up on their standard.
But I can tell you it doesn't go away in any that I've seen.![]()
Oh, thanks for the info! Hope her toes change color as she gets older!Pic also!
I've hatched many lav orps with slightly pink on the tips of the toes and it turns slate as they grow.
Thanks for your reply, her toes have white halfway down her feet! I have never seen that before, so just wondering if it the coloring changes with age like their feathers?Pic also!
