April 14th I think? Not positive. Bought all from one person. It was supposed to be a pulley.

At 16 + weeks old, I think it looks like a pullet ready to start laying in a couple of weeks! Beautiful chicken!!!!

I am going to change my answer to pullet for now. I am very torn, those saddle feathers get me, I can't quite tell if they are pointed or not..

I agree this one has me guessing!!! Either a beautiful pullet or a just coming into himself cockerel, I hear lavender orpington sometimes come in late for roosters.

Without knowing the age for certain it's hard to say. How long ago did you get it? I'm wondering if it's not a cockerel that just isn't quite as old as what you were told. The body shape, legs, and lack of a tail in combination with the comb & wattles make me think male. Hopefully I'm wrong though. With as red as that comb & wattles are if it's a pullet it should be laying soon!

I find this one is a bit confusing, as (s)he's at the age where there's also potential for a pullet at point of lay. However, I'm leaning towards slow-maturing cockerel.

cockerel...… he is in kinda bad condition why are all of his feathers mangled? stress? deficiency?
