Lavender, splash and light blue or white...

OK that is great. So if I got chicks from the same stock that some are black, some splash, some white, some mottled then I probably don't have lavender - does that sound right? Or can you get a lavender in the mix too? Is it an aberration? How do you breed lavender. Do you have to start out with lavender unlike the other blue?

If you got black, splash, white, and mottled from the same parents you have some crazy genes going on in there! I have no idea, you'd have to keep breeding them together and see what you get. But lavender isn't very common, so it's unlikely that they have that gene.
