You may want to try to catch him some crickets with a handy dandy cricket trap. It will catch anything that crawls on the ground though...so, you know, don't go reaching your hand in before looking to see what you caught.

If you get a soda bottle cut off the top (then cut the threaded part off), and invert the top into the bottle (without the threaded part), then you have a insect trap. Place something over it, like some leaves and see what you get. If you want them dead, put it in the freezer.
We used oil in the bottom to make sure they got good and stuck. I suppose you could use olive oil and Kabota could have Italian flavored crickets. a little basil might be nice.
..as far as the worming, he might have never been wormed. Which means it could be a heavy load. From what I gather, that has to be handled with some care. I'd do a serious 'search' first before you decide what to do.
