HA That actually sounds awesome viktoria, something that would give him more stability but not chaff.
CZ- I think i have something almost exactly like that! I bought a 'playhouse' for my cats made out of thin plastic tubing / pipes. It held my hog cat so it would hold 'bota, just have to cut holes...... hmmmmm. I really think a good sling would help him some.
hehehe thanks noodleroo! I am a softyr for a living creature that has been left alone to suffer. I am the kind of person that if I hit or think I hit an animal with my truck, I turn around and go look for it. One time I hit a rabbit and when I got back it was still alive. I was sooo upset!! I wrapped it in a towel - it didn't respond to any touch on its hind end, even pinching, but freaked just being touched on his front legs. I just knew his back was broken so I tearfully took him to my dad to "do the deed". I held him while I explained what had happened and we discussed teh final exit. When I went to hand him to my dad the rabbit nearly jumped out of my arms!!
I took him and set him under a bush in a brushy field, then sat there until he gathered his wits / strength and hopped away, because there was an owl hooting nearby.
Another time I raised a purple martin bird, when I got him he had feathers and just seemed kind of stunned. After 2-3 days he flew away. I walked outside that same afternoon and he was on my fence, I called him and he landed on my finger! He finally flew away a year later! (didn't even leave with the rest of the martins, had to keep him inside when it started getting cool).
Can you say "sucker"?????
