Layer pellets & scratch?? Less eggs or more?

Since the 2 red rangers started laying over a month ago... I dont think Ive got even a dozen eggs from the both of them combined... with or without scratch feed... but they sure eat ALOT... AND weigh about 8 9 lbs each maybe more...they might be headed for freezer camp.

You aren't doing your chickens any favor by giving them treats everyday.
Feed them a commercially made, balanced, complete chicken feed.



Think of treats just like feeding your children chips and candy. Do you think it's smart to feed your children chips and candy every single day?

Sometimes I let my Granddaughter have ice cream for breakfast. (She's a dancer & does eat nutritious foods too)

Pizza for breakfast, lunch or dinner is delicious!!!
I feed fermented pelleted layer feed but also use "mash" as a scratch & also put it in a plastic jar with holes drilled in it so they can kick it around. They certainly have a better life then I do... Working in a hot factory 10-12 hrs a day wearing full welding gear. Love welding...the heat....not so much. Enjoy your day....duty calls
