Laying new eggs!

After a hen has a baby chick when will she start to lay again? And when will her normal behaviors come back? She is very mean now because of her baby but will she return to a normal chicken soon? My rooster has his own coop but the momma hen bully's him and she barley let's him eat or explore! Thanks

she should start to act normal when the chicken can fend for it's self. you could take the chick away and raise it yourself and she should be normal, but i would let her raise her baby

my friend's started laying a week after the chick grew up but it can vary per bird.
