laying question

someone gave my son a barred rock rooster and a hen , we were told the hen is already laying we got her on wed. night she hasnt layed an egg yet ! could it be cause she was moved to a new coop ?

Yes, moving a chicken to a new home can sometimes stress them a little and cause a short delay in egg laying. She should start to lay again soon, probably within a week or so.

she laid an egg yesterday !!! My 5 year old was so excited to find the first egg as his other chickens havent started laying yet !
