I have a broody sitting on eggs, she has been sitting since 6-28. I have to go in and check on her to make sure she isn't hoarding the other girls' eggs. She was for a little while but not anymore.

The other girls are only laying an egg a day, at best. Are they showing solidarity towards Ms. Broody? Is the heat affecting them? We didn't have a dramatic drop in eggs the last time we had a broody. Any thoughts on what's going on? Thanks!

No solidarity strike there - it's not the broody causing the decreased production. The excessive heat may be the culprit.
