Definetly worm the others, but probably no need to treat them with chevi-kok if they are drinking the sulfa water. Not sure if I would treat the rest of the flock with metronidazole or not.Which brings me to another question... These two sick birds were with other birds when they fell ill. He put them in isolation, and has since treated the rest of the flock with Di-Methox (sulfadimethoxine) for several days.
What meds, if any, should he give to the rest of the flock? Should he be giving a round of amprolium (corid) to all the birds? It seems like maybe they should all get wormed with the albendazole at a minimum, as well as the corid for coccidia. Should he consider giving metronidazole to all the birds as well?
Just gave the other one metronidazole and chevi-kok pills. If they were my birds, both would get metronidazole 100mg twice a day for no less than 5 days, both would get wormed once with 0.4 ml albendazole (repeat in ten days), both would get chevi-kok pill 3 times a day for five days. Only the sickest one would get the Baytril.
