Yep. I'll be culling quite a few. All the three month old crested females will be sold and I'll probably raise the boys for meat. I'd like to have around 20 females and 5/6 males.

Yeah. Me too. I'm gonna take my dog into the woods and see if he can't find a scent or something.

I do, they aren't the best quality but they work for me, they prefer to forage than eat the feed.

I want to breed some ducks soon. But for now I'm researching about them. I've seen them pin dogs to the floor! Are the males nasty?

WOW!!!!!!!

This is one of the newest hatches, it'll be two weeks old Sunday. It's a Pekin X Blue Swedish or as I like to call them, Swedish Pekins.
(This was when I took it out of the bator.)

Me too. Even finding a carcass would be better than not knowing.

Nice. Really?! I've never met an agressive drake, some people say they have them but I've never had a problem, mine are gentleman through and through. They are all messy though!

I love the first day or two after they come out of the bator, they're so not afraid of anything. After a couple days though they start running away but usually become friendly again as they mature. I have found though that it helps A TON if the brooder is big enough for you to sit in and let them come to you.
