I bet that's some baby mama drama for sure! Poor poor Jane quacked at me for a half hour when I let two of her babies leave yesterday I take it all back about them not being too noisy. She sure can throw a fit! She doesn't like when I let the others out either she quacks non stop of she can see them. Since her pen is up off the ground I'm not sure why it makes her so mad!

She's the matriarch, that's her job... plus a lot of broodys get riled just being able to see others that she knows will mess with her babies!

Nope, she's a blue fawn... her partners are a grey pied and a dark phase/dusky grey...

Ah ha. Thought she looked different from Jane but some similarities. I bet its a lot of fun seeing what all the babies turn out to be!

First day trying to have my dogs out with the ducks! I have two very laid back labs they don't chase anything ever but you never know. Its gone great so far!! Had them on a leash of course to start out. Ducks walked right up to them to say hello with no real reaction from them. I thought they would be fine as they sit and let the doves practically land on them and never care. They watch all the robins and other wild birds in the yard and never go for them. I have a cat in the house they are scared of when they come inside lol. I was worried about jealousy though but they even sat back and watched me hand feed the ducks without coming over to us so I think we are good! Would never be naive to think I could just leave them unattended but wanted to be able to share time with both without worrying. So this makes me very happy!
