I have 5 female Pekin ducks, one male, they are about 6 months old now. This is my first experience with ducks as pets. Messy, messy they are. What I find the most difficult is when issues arise (foamy eyes, limping, and bumble foot) to name a few. They also have killed the grass in their area and have made for a muddy area. They do love the pool and to be sprayed with the hose on the shower nozzle. I also love/have 5 ISA brown female chickens that are 1yr. 6mo. and Chloe a Rhode Island red female given to us by a neighbor because the rest of her flock was destroyed by a raccoon. They mostly get along together. Surround here by farms but difficult finding an avian vet that is not over 100 just for a visit so this site has been super helpful.

Hi ! thanks for the welcome. It is nice to know there is a place for tossing around questions and experiences. This is so helpful in recognizing what your problem could be, if you need to change things up, how long to see results, what results can look like and what products have been useful. Again, thanks for the welcome and have a great day.
