Leash training

What is the best breed of duck to leash train? Has anyone personally had any success with it? How?

My khaki Campbell drakes hate being leashed and personally I think it hurts them

I have four adult khaki Campbells which could not be less interested but they do follow me still but I have heard people have had some success with starting pekins really young?

The reason this is important to me is that my garden is across the street and down a bit from my coop and pen and I like to bring them there but they are more hesitant now that they're older and it's difficult to motive them once it's about 4 o clock so I thought perhaps I could train one and the rest would follow
