Leaving the coop

I have 8week old chicks and been leaving the coop door open for them but they wont leave the coop any ideas.Carried them out once and they seemed happy then carried them in at night.But they still wont leave.

They probably just need some more time and will leave when they feel ready.

Try putting some of their feed where you would like them to go. Thats how i trick my chickens into going into their coop early for the night. Just a little shake shake of a cup of their feed and they run into the coop. Using the feed trick should work. It works for us trying to get a stubborn horse in a trailer and with the chickens.
