Leaving the Girls Alone - Pen Them Up?

Well, when they're out ranging in the yard, they just basically stay away from her.
But she's funny.

If she's eating something on one side of the yard, and she sees the others eating on the opposite side, she'll run over there.
Then if they go to the other side, she'll run over there.
It's like she doesn't want them to eat at all.

In the mornings, she gets off the ladder and goes to the food/water in the coop and the rest of them just stay perched up on the ladder because she won't let them near it.

It's worse IN the coop because they don't have anyplace to run to.

But I also have noticed them pecking each other now.
It's like she's training them to be mean or something.

Well, Penny has been rehomed.

She's gone to a home with two other hens about her age.
I hope she'll be a happier girl.

We sure will miss her (but not her bulliness!)

The other girls will be relieved tomorrow and hopefully will calm down now.

Sad, but relieved.
This chicken business isn't always easy.

{{hugs}} to you --- I hope that things are able to settle down and be more enjoyable for all involved now and that Penny does well in her new home.
