Unless you're planning a breeding project, you probably don't have to go to the lengths I do. If I wasn't planning to breed some of these chicks some day, I don't think I'd bother to band them.

I purchased mine from Smith Poultry. www.poultry supplies.com I received 50 numbered band for $11.00 this included postage. This is the cheapest I have found. they come in a variety of colors also.
