Leg Bands

I have trouble keeping those expanding bandetts on. When they get frisky they end up kicking them off. Any suggestions??

I too have trouble with the expanding plastic colored, numbered bandettes. They fall off and it is so frustrating. They often break in half after a year or so, and would love to have something more permanent. I try replacing them as they age or get smaller but it is hard and then it messes up my color coding. any idea on the metal bands, but NOT the flimsy ones you attach that bend ever which way? Like something on wild birds maybe? What's a good source?
