Are leg tethers safe for poultry birds? I know that they are not safe for parrots, but can poultry birds were a leg tether for training purposes?

But are tethers safe for poultry birds? If I want to bring a pheasant outdoors I don’t want the bird to fly away. Would a leg tether be sufficient or would it dislocate their leg?

They'd just be fighting against it of they were panicking.

This isn't a good idea. They'd be fighting to get free, potentially dislocating the leg in the process. Plus, there's really no reason to bring them outside of their pen
