legbar mix genetics

Hello. I got this legbar mix pullet from a breeder and i *think* he said she was a legbar/marans/wyandotte mix, but i forget exactly what he said.

i am wondering what genes are expressed in her colour so i can put her type in the chicken calculator.

I'll take a shot at it with my rookie skills. This color is BBR, black breasted red, also referred to as the wild type as this is what female jungle fowl would resemble, without the crest. The breast color is salmon; in males it would be black.

It sounds like the person was describing the breeding involved to create an olive egger with the Marans/Legbar cross, although I think this bird is actually a Welsummer/Legbar cross. I have 7 hens that look like her and they're all laying olive green eggs. Not sure there's any Wyandotte in there. I think if there was this bird would have a rose comb, or some semblance thereof.

Now we wait for the more experienced breeders to comment...

Welsummer makes sense actually- the breeder had Welsummer x Legbars as well but i couldn't remember which one I got, lol. she definitely has a normal single comb

Not sure on the color, genetically speaking, but she's stunning! Nothing says wyandotte to me, but you could easily get a single combed bird out of that combination of breeds. For example if the rooster was a wyandotte/marans he would have a copy of the recessive single comb gene and crossed with a legbar that would give a 50% chance of single combed chicks.
