Is it possible? It doesn't seem like it should be, but in my coup this afternoon, I have found a small, fragile white egg. I only have one leghorn, so it had to come from her. The rest of my birds lay either green or brown.

The egg is a bit smaller than the ones my silkies lay and the shell is not very sturdy. Honestly, is this possible? I hope it's not a sign of something wrong. This is easily the sweetest of all my chickens. I don't want her to be ill.

Can't be a silkie. I only have two and they are both raising chicks right now. So they ain't layin.

It's not a fart egg-it's got a yolk & a white.

Two of my green egg layers are pretty old & sometimes they lay small eggs, but I have already gotten a full compliment of green eggs-all my green girls laid.

It's highly unbelievable, at least to me, that this chick could lay at 10 weeks.

It could still be a silkie. Why assume that a 10 week old pullet would lay and not an adult hen raising chicks? Neither is likely but still possible. I would suspect that the silkie is more of a possibility.
