I've had 2 and both were EEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL!!! and crowed nonstop...

I haven't had one but from people I've talked to that have had them I hear they are NASTY

Ya, never had one but I have heard horror stories about leghorn roos

Leghorns are fine for protecting your hens. The rooster will be mean or tame. It just depends on him. We have never had a problem with our little banty roosters breeding with our large standard hens. I have many little "mixes" from the matings!!
