leghorn rooster vs. hen

I'm a green chicken mom and have been doing research on what types of chickens I'm raising. I know I have a leghorn, and according to pictures, the rooster is very colorful. My leghorn is white like a hen, but has a full red waddle and crows...hens don't crow, right?

Hens can crow... but unlikely. Sounds like you have a male.
Can you post a picture? Male and female white leghorns are both white. You may have a brown leghorn, or other variety.

How old is your Leghorn? A picture would help immensely.

If you’re not able to post a picture, looks for hackle or saddle feathers that form near the throat and back.
