The brown Leghorn in my previous pics always picks on this one and no one else. They are both the same age and same size

Help!!! Was sold to me as an EE...I was told it's a brown Leghorn. Its about 7-8 weeks old. Boy or girl?

100% male.

Ugh this sucks...I'll never buy chickens from a local feed store!

Often times they are straight run but the hatcheries only guarantee 90% pullets. Many years ago it happened to me, I ordered pullets but a male got mixed in. They didn't even send any extra chicks. I got what I ordered but one turned out to be a male.

Is there any local swaps in your area. Often times people sell chicks but again they are straight run. I usually take my extra males and females I don't want to use for breeding to our local swaps to sell.

Being a savvy consumer is important regardless of where you get your stock. For example, giving attention to whether the birds are sexed or straight run. ....often people get very angry about being sold "a bunch of males" because they didn't realize the bin being marked as straight run meant the birds were not sexed. With regards to breed identification, being an informed bier can go a long way in avoiding getting the wrong birds...learning what leg color, down pattern, comb type, etc that a chick should have can help you guard against inadvertently getting the wrong chicks. ....miss-ID at the feed store frequently stems from missmarking at the hatchery, birds being moved from bin to bin by customers, etc. Additionally, many of the sales people can only go by what is on the bin. ...if it says they are a particular breed, that is a good faith error on their part to believe that, if neither they nor you know what the chick should look like neither of you will know when it's wrong. It's important to be an informed consumer, for your own sake
