I've been up all night anticipating the birth of kids from my two first freshners.
I promise to get back to everyone individually regarding eggs for fall. It isn't that I won't have eggs during the summer, but it is way too hot to ship.
So I'll give the girls a rest from handsome Lemon Boy & we'll start in again in the fall.
In fact, by then I will have Victoria laying & she is a beauty. She is Elizabeth's & Lemon Boy's first born. I'll get a pic of her this weekend.
To answer a couple questions...yes, the babies should have signs of feathered feet. In fact the group I hatched on March 30th have very feathered feet. My Lemon Blue breeders are separate in a run with no access to any other roo. Even then, ALL my free range roos are Cochins so feathered feet are a given.
Lanissa, thank you
so much for pics of the babies. I'm sure you will have the exact experience I'm having with the babies just being Love Bugs
I'm moving my group (March 30th hatch) out to the grow-out pen this weekend. They are so tall they are peeking over the top of the brooder.
Dzipperer-Awesome report on shipped eggs. Sometimes it really works great.
Got to run back down & check my does but I'll catch ya all in a day or two. Thanks again for all the nice compliments & great pics.
