It's all Greek to me.

I agree, of all those young birds pictured, the Partridge would have to be the father of all of them becuase if the light roo was the father, with the splash patterned Buff Columbian hen, then all of the pullets should be blue patterned light columbians and be pure for the silver gene and the roos should be split for the both gold and silver genes. So what you described is the only logical explaination that I can come up with too, that the Partridge has to be the father of all of them.

I'm also kinda having trouble with the name, Pyles are created by diluting with Dominant White, not splash, and in this case, the base pattern is Partridge not Red Duckwing like Pyles should be, so technically, shouldnt these projects be more correctly called Splash Partridge Brahmas or Lemon Splash Brahmas may sound cooler, if that is basicly the goal ? I just think the name is going to confuse people since they are diluted by a double dose of andalusian blue and not domiant white and the pyle really isnt pyle unless it is based on red duckwing, its kinda the same way that some people with barred red colored birds call them Crele when true crele is barred Red Duckwing. I dont know its just a suggestion to possibly avoid confusion later on, it may be just me being ticky lol.

They are really pretty birds though and just keep breeding the blue and splashed ones to the pure Partridge or Blue Partridge Brahams.

Do you think we are dealing with staight splash buff columbian, or are there other "lighteners" involved ? I suspect there is more involved. Here is one of my chicks that is somewhat similar.

Looks like regular splash buff columbian from what I can tell. What is she from ? Your BLR roos on those Blue or Splash Light Columbian hens you have ?

That would be my guess, as I flock mate, I can not be absolutely sure. I was hoping for a little more lacing, but the columbian should help clean up some of the double lacing in the line.

Thats what I would say too. Even though its probably not how it should be, I kinda like that she dosent have any color coloring in the hackels like that.

Henk's calculator I've figured out okay for standard stuff, but it can't help me with my Brahma X's since I have no clue on the hen's coloring. Buff Columbian for the daddy, no problem, RIR or BR momma, no problem, but for EE/Dark Brahma X momma with the Buff daddy...

Nothing I can pick from the list looks like her and nothing I do pick and calculate resembles the chicks. Best I can say is they've got some blue in them.

Whatever you've created genetically, they're pretty. Make me think of cinnamon and sugar.

We are growing up -

Princess looks most like her mother.

The bottom one, Scotty, is looking roo-ish to me. The top kind of looks the color of a faded out partridge hen.

This is Junior - pretty sure he's a guy.

Not sure if the brighter color means roo or not.

Part of the group - the one in the center look very much like a buff, but it's not possible.

A couple more -the one on the right has grayish undertones.
