I really like the rooster all by his lonesome in the small pen. I'd feed him, & be proud to do it, no matter the breed!

Oh he has 4 ‘ladies’. I only put him in there so I could get a good picture.
Oh and yes I love him so much! I’m really proud of him.

This is Della, a Delaware, who unfortunately, is a real pain. If she's not broody or going broody, then she is in a minor molt or just upset because I moved a crate. Or maybe because a leaf blew in or a dog walked by. She's quite the diva and almost never lays anymore. But she's pretty and my wife is soft-hearted and doesn't want to cull her. Here she is, acting like she will lay. But it's a con job. She doesn't lay anymore. She just sings the egg song in support of those who do actual work for their living.
