i just recently within the last year lost 30 and it is HARD AS HECK! I was always hungry for the first couple of months. I had BP issues though, and it really scared me how bad I felt when it shot up. Panic attacks were great fun too.
I lost and have maintained the loss, and am no longer hungry for foods I can't have very often...but this is a YEAR later!! I still crave junk on occassion, but I limit it to once every few days and it curbs the intense cravings. I think quitting smoking may be a bit harder, so I haven't tried again yet. New Year's resolution was the weight. This year may be the smokes. My DD will cry and beg me not to try...always gets on my nerves, and makes me want a cig
Stupid kid
Even with the extra weight, the BP and other numbers are really good.
I had a stress test about a year ago and kicked butt on it. I'm trying, though. The hardest part is coming home from work famished and demolishing the excellent dinner on the table.....
My father was in the best of health. He worked out for an hour a day and did well on all his tests. He passed a stress test with flying colors.
3 weeks later, he's in a helicopter on his way to the big hospital. After climbing the mountains of Montana hunting elk for several days, he suffered a widow-maker heart attack. You never know what might happen. It's hard to know it ever happened by looking at him now, though.
Works out just as much as he used to, except he's not allowed to do sprints.
I don't trust those stress tests anymore, but I still think everyone should have them regularly. They catch the stuff that's been building up for years I guess.
