Hi! So I am needing some advice on a couple chickens I have. Both are 2 1/2 months and one just died last night. He had no swelling in the face, no blood in his poop, but he did have a hard time staying up. He acted lethargic a lot and if he fell over, he couldn’t get himself back up. He walked slower for a few days before he died. He would eat and drink normally though. Now I have one of my Mosaic pullets in quarantine because she is drooping her wings, acting tired, eating and drinking normal, her poop looks normal with no blood, and she eats and drinks fine. She hasn’t fallen over yet or struggled to get up like the other one, but I’m worried that she is showing early signs of whatever is going on. My other chickens are very active and have no signs of the pullet I have in quarantine. Also she isn’t gasping for air, she doesn’t have any respiratory issues that I have noticed, and her vent is clean. I am thinking maybe it’s coccidiosis, but I have never seen it in my chickens at all and I am actually hoping that it is coccidiosis and not something more lethal:oops: I will most likely be going go get some stuff for coccidiosis just in case it is because I really don’t want to lose her or any others:/

Get Corid and treat and treat, sounds just like coccidiosis... Only one strain will present as blood in droppings... and even then not in every dropping.

But them still eating and drinking doesn't line up... what are you feeding including treats? And are they still under a heat lamp? Where did they come from?

:fl
They are still on Dumor chick starter/grower since they are almost 3 months and not laying yet. They get dried grubs when they go outside and they get a tiny bit of hydro hen in the water about once a week, but the hydro hen didn’t start until a couple of months ago since it is just starting to get warm. I put some probiotics in everyone’s food today. Do you think the feed is missing a vitamin or supplement that could potentially kill them?? Honestly I have learned so much about coccidiosis. Thanks :)

They are no longer under a heat lamp by the way. They haven’t been for a while, I just put one on my mosaic pullet for a little bit because in the morning it can get cold. They came from a breeder a few hours north of me

Couldn’t find any in the feed stores but I ordered some online. I got the 2 day shipping. I have her on a lot of vitamins at the moment :idunno
That's a bummer. Tractor Supply usually has Corid during the spring, especially during chick days. It's found in the Cattle section.
How warm are you keeping her - I notice you are providing some heat in your photos. That's o.k. sick chickens need to be kept a little warm - at 2 1/2months she won't need a lot of heat since she looks fairly feathered out. 70-75F may be a good place to start.
