Hi everyone need some help please!
I washed my chickens yesterday and out of 6 one isn't doing well. She is lethargic and not eating or drinking what do I do?

Welcome To BYC!

How old is she?
May I ask why they needed washing?
What's your temperatures like?
Can you please post some photos?
Is she pooping?
What's her crop like?
Was she dried well?
What do you feed?
Is she having any difficulty breathing?

She is approx 18mths old and the wash was due to mites everywhere it was a humid day and all were dried well with hair dryer on low after a towel dry. Her poo is runny and her crop is squishy but so is one of the others but they are all full of energy. They are all free range around our backyard and feed pellets layers mash and scraps. No problem with breathing so not sure why she is like this?

Does she still have mites on her?

Have you treated the coop/run to get rid of the mites?

She may have been really weak because of the infestation and bathing her caused stress.

In the photo, her crop looks fullish - can you tell us what it feels like? Does she lay eggs? Have you felt for an egg?

Yes coop treated she lays eggs but seriously she was fine yesterday. She doesn't appear to have any mites that I can see but I feel as thou I am crawling with them and have found a couple on my feet. Not sure what you mean by how she feels? And not sure how you check for an egg?

I have felt around her rear and it does not feel hard - she didn't like it I know that much. Her crop is squishy and I have managed to use a syringe to get her to drink by just rubbing it against her beak but not alot with some bird electrolytes in it.

Check her crop - it's her food pouch. It should be empty in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink overnight. If the crop is not empty, then read the article linked below. Let us know what the crop feels like.

It would be good to feel inside the vent about 1-2" for an egg. She's hunched up a bit, so I wonder if she's having trouble with an egg.
Feel her abdomen below the vent between her legs as well - see if there's any bloat or feeling of fluid.

If you are still finding mites on you - then they are probably still in the chickens and/or in their housing. What did you treat the housing with?
It would be good to also treat your chickens with a poultry dust or spray to get rid of the mites, bathing can help, but a Permethrin based product used in 7 day intervals will be needed to get rid of an infestation.

Once all the chickens were dry they all got dusted with pestene back, underneath wings, vent and underbody. Bedding cleaned out new bedding applied and douse in pestene everywhere as well as a dose of surface spray in the morning. Aired out for 7 hrs before new bedding etc and girls let back in. Her crop is how I found her this afternoon and I don't think she has left the coop all day.
In regards to checking her vent how do I do this and how should she feel just before the vent underneath?

How is she this morning?

If the crop is squishy first thing in the morning (or not empty), then I would begin treat the crop per the article previously posted.

Is she able to poop at all? What's that look like?
Feel inside her vent about 1-2" for an egg.

Feel on the outside, below the vent between her legs for any bloat/swelling or feeling of fluid.
