I have a three year old hen with legs like that, yours is slightly healthier looking. I dipped her feet in a warm epsom salt bath the other day, just need to repeat a few more times to see if that makes a difference.

Most likely old hand feet – none of my other ones have anything like it. But worrisome. It could be the beginning of SLM, or Old Hen Legs, hard to tell!
At 9 it sounds like she's doing great. I would apply some vaseline, Castor Oil or Nu Stock cream to her legs/feet, working your treatment of choice up and under the scales of the legs/feet. Do this week for a several weeks. This will smother any SLM if they are there, if it's Old Hen Legs, then you've given her a spa treatment and spoiled her![]()
I switched their food back to the Purina brand and they seem to have been doing a lot better. I also sprayed their entire coop and cleaned it out and put the dust on the ground. I have gotten an increasing amount of eggs. Hopefully it was just the food. Also concerning, it might’ve been the food and, that’s good news. Most likely old hand feet – none of my other ones have anything like it. But worrisome.
