Lethargic Chickens

I have a three year old hen with legs like that, yours is slightly healthier looking. I dipped her feet in a warm epsom salt bath the other day, just need to repeat a few more times to see if that makes a difference.

It could be the beginning of SLM, or Old Hen Legs, hard to tell!

At 9 it sounds like she's doing great. I would apply some vaseline, Castor Oil or Nu Stock cream to her legs/feet, working your treatment of choice up and under the scales of the legs/feet. Do this week for a several weeks. This will smother any SLM if they are there, if it's Old Hen Legs, then you've given her a spa treatment and spoiled her:)
Most likely old hand feet – none of my other ones have anything like it. But worrisome.

I switched their food back to the Purina brand and they seem to have been doing a lot better. I also sprayed their entire coop and cleaned it out and put the dust on the ground. I have gotten an increasing amount of eggs. Hopefully it was just the food. Also concerning, it might’ve been the food and, that’s good news.

Glad to hear you are seeing improvement.
