So I’ve had a lot of issues with my flock since the beginning of August and I’m not sure why. I lost one to an impacted crop on the 3rd and about a week later had another to develop a impacted crop. She passed shortly after too. They were treated for for cocci around the time first one had the impacted crop. When the second developed it I treated for worms. I do not have access to a vet and since I had 2 I figured I would rule that out. I do stay in a hot humid location. Since I did know know what time of worms I was dealing with if in fact they had worms I did the safeguard for 5 days. I gave them the medicine after everyone went to roost so it’ll be easier. Sunday was the last treatment. Also Sunday I noticed one of my little ones I live so I used poultry dust since that’s what I had available and dusted everyone and everything f. Yesterday morning after day 5 my D’uccle rooster started acting off. Very lethargic his comb wanted to start flopping over. And his poops were very watery/mucousy with what appeared to be blood I believe. I have attached a picture of the poop below. Every poop looks like this or similar.

Out of an abondunce of caution I have put everyone back on corrid and giving him a direct dose as well. Is this the right treatment or is this something else? They just finished up the corrid the begninnig of this month.

You need a sulfa antibiotic for that roo. He likely has enteritis from either worms or coccidia. This is a bacterial infection and sulfa is the recommended antibiotic. Find it at a pigeon supply shop or get it online.

I have trimethoprim/sulfa powder would that work? It’s powder. Directions say 1 tsp in a gal for 5-7 days. Is this correct? I would assume to stop the corrid or can they both be put in the water.

Both can be mixed in the water together. It's fine to treat all the chickens.
Than you. It’s mixed in the water for everyone and he has been drinking it. Would it be wise to offer them yogurt or something like that daily since they are on the antibiotic?

I just wanted to thank you! Because of you he is still alive and improving daily. He has even started crowing again.
