Lethargic, (Dehydrated...?) d’Uccle! Please Help!

She looks like she has coccidiosis to me...do you have Corid on hand? If she is not being picked on you could be doing more harm than good by separating her. Make sure it is not too hot in the brooder. Do you have a thermometer?

Oh God, please don’t let it be Coccidiosis.

Her poops have no blood in them. At least, her last poop at around 2:30-2:45pm didn’t. I don’t have a picture of it, but it looked like a pretty good poop, as far as poop goes...

What are other signs of Coccidiosis?

I don’t have any corid unfortunately... is there anything else I can give her that can make ANY difference?

In the main Brooder it’s about 85ish degrees... in her makeshift one I’ll need to check on that.

The reason she has been separated is because I want to make sure she’s eating and drinking, I’m not sure she understands the nipple waterers. If I put her in, she’ll stay under the heat and she won’t eat and drink at all, that’s how she was before I separated her. Does that make sense?

@KikisGirls can you please recommend anything to help my little baby?

Other signs of coccidiosis are going off food and water...puffing up like she is in the picture above...being lethargic.
If she can't use the nipple put her a dish of water. If I were you I'd get Corid tomorrow.

I hope so too. I don't think you should move chicks around...don't carry them to school again.

Is she eating and drinking right now? Take a little bit of the crumbles and soak them in water...mix and egg in it to see if she will eat it. Having the crumbles mixed with water will help to hydrate her.

No we only had them at school for about 30 minutes, they were transported very carefully by car. I regret doing it, but she was better this morning.

I’ll try doing the food thing. She doesn’t even peck anything. Just sits there sleeping. I’m having to dip her to drink and afterwards she just goes to sleep again.

Do you think this is a point where I should start considering manual feeding and drinking. Like literally opening her mouth to force feed her? If so, please tell me how.

Thanks.
