Lethargic Rooster - help!

For humans, it's one teaspoon about 3 times a day. It's tasteless, so you could give it to him straight. I just kinda dumped it in their water till I thought it was good, though.
Good deal! I’ll do that. I gave him scrambled eggs and yogurt this morning and I sprinkled a little probiotic powder on it. He was eating when I left so hopefully he perks up! Can I “overdose” him on probiotics? I typically don’t measure it since it’s powder and I just sprinkle it on top of their food.

Hello @AMont17, I am dealing with similar situation where one rooster became lethargic. Upon inspection I noticed that his crop is clogged and it is sour. From the pictures it looks like your roosters crop is huge. Can you try feeling it, is it soft or hard? Does he have any unpleasant smell coming from his beak?

I did pick him up yesterday and it didn’t feel large. I think the way he is sitting or the angle of the photo is making it appear large. I will definitely check when I get home this evening. If it is clogged/sour how do I correct/help this?

I would also suggest isolating him and putting him into a dog kennel or something similar, put some napkins or old towel, not shaving on the floor of it, see if he poops. Put a little bowl of water, no food. See if his crop empties overnight, in the morning you should see poop and the crop should be completely empty. Depending on how clogged/infected crop is there are different ways on dealing with it. Let us know when you get home and check his crop, smell from his beak?

I don't think that you can. If you by any chance could, I think it would take alot. Probably more than what you would give him.

Were you able to find the stuff? How's he doing this evening?
He’s doing about the same today, no better no worse. I went all over looking for silver shield and couldn’t find it anywhere. I did get Poultry Nutri-Drench and plan on giving him a rapid dose shortly.

His crop feels empty and definitely no smell coming from his beak area. I picked up some Poultry Nutri-Drench and plan on giving him a rapid dose.
