I admit that I am not big on pecan pie, unless the nuts are really chopped up and I'm not big on blueberry pie. I always wanted to try elderberry pie though! Has anyone here had elderberry pie before?

Pecan pie is gross! It's just brown sugar with some nuts in it.

Gimme apple. ....but not the overly sweet kind -- more like tarte tatin -- just apples.

Gasp! If you think about it, most pies are fruit with sugar in it -- sound any better? lol

I like most kinds of pies, but prefer to make my own and use a lot less sugar. My favorite pies are peach, pecan (anything with big chunky nuts - yum), any kind of berry pie as long as they're made from fresh berries, strawberry rhubarb, pumpkin and LOVE cheesecake -- hold the topping. Lemon or lime are both good, but really never eat that disgusting meringue.

My family is English/Irish and so we do eat mincemeat pie also, but I've yet to make one from scratch using the actual meat.

My grandma made the best homemade mince meat pie, with meat, lard, chopped green tomatoes. Way better than that stuff they sell in a jar.
