Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

I set 8 eggs last night but this is my first time trying to hatch goose eggs. I printed out Pete's guide and read it for about 2 weeks but I'm nervous about all of this. :( I have a small incubator so I can't fit too many in there.

Is anyone using this Brinsea incubator to hatch?

Congrats and good luck, kuntry! I have heard excellent things about your type of incubator. What kind of geese do you have? Are they eggs from your own flock?

Thanks. This will be my first time, so if I only get 1 to hatch, I will be happy.

Here are pics of my crew. And yes, the eggs are from my own flock.

What a nice assortment of breeds. I especially like your Toulouse (I'm biased towards that breed). Are they mystery eggs?

Surprises can be fun too! When I had ducks I knew which eggs they were but not what colors. That was fun. But do not have ducks anymore, except one drake left.
I had a pair but a **** hawk killed my Fancy Feet....

Awwwwwwwww. Sorry to hear that.

How fun, kuntry! My Africans are sort of mysteries in that they are a mixture of brown, white and brown/white crosses. I know which girl has laid each egg (and I mark egg), but the gander could be white or brown resulting in all sorts of different color surprises, although my white gander is alpha and gets to mate with all the girls, so I expect to have mostly white goslings.

Along those lines, my 2nd white African girl has been holding out on me and made her own secret nest. During morning feed, I noticed she was missing. I searched in pasture but could not find her, but when I returned to feeding area, there she was. So I followed tracks (thanks to fresh blanket of snow) and discovered her nest with 2 old frozen eggs and one fresh egg that was still warm. My brown girl is in her nest this morning laying too, so now I have 6 eggs to set today.
