Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Congrats, MrsMagoo!
Does the pattern on their bills have anything to do with them being saddleback?

I really can't tell you. The ones from last year looked like that at first too, but that fades after a couple weeks. You can see this in these goslings from last spring...the little ones have the dark pattern on their bills and on the older ones it is gone.

Jen, it is very common for goslings to spend 24 hours turning their initial pip into a hole. It almost looks like they are stuck and cannot rotate, but that is normal. if your 2nd egg is 2 days behind and still has veins, it is probably ok. :fl
Thanks. I'm not really worried about it hatching, but my hatcher is an LG...:(. The temperature likes to get too high and too low so I kept checking it when I heard him talking.
Congrats to everyone whose geese have started laying and all those with new goslings! My second egg had a much easier time and hatched during the night last night. The new gosling is bigger than the first one even though it was in a smaller egg. Here are the season's first two Pomeranian goslings.
So cute!!!!

Here are the 4 goslings who hatched yesterday. Out of 5 eggs I got four which I am thrilled with the results. Since it is so close to St. Patrics Day these are my Mcgoslings...
