Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

As far as turning the goose eggs, I am going in and turning them 3 times a day for her and I am misting them as well. The eggs are bigger than her. :lau They may not hatch but I had to try. She is sitting on 2 eggs. Probably should have put only 1 though. She is covering both of them nicely.

I am down to 3 of my 6 goose eggs in the bator. Day 11 for some and Day 10 for egg #6. Egg #2 has movement when candled. Egg #6...is iffy but I am going to give it a few more days. Egg #4 I removed because it stopped developing- opened it up and I was right to remove. Veins, ribbons of egg white - it must have stopped days ago. The 3rd egg I left in I am sure its a no go but want to give it a coupe more days just in case.

I am cooling down and misting daily.

11 of my duck eggs are doing wonderful- movement in more than 2/3 of them and all have great veining. If I am lucky enough to hatch at least 1 gosling- then it has a duck buddy (one of the main reasons I chose to hatch duck eggs at all just in case the hatch when south and only 1 gosling made it).

I am eggcited about egg #2 but so terrified something will happen to it.

Sending good vibes your way. I know that everything will be ok. I had that some terrified feeling when I was incubating the goose eggs. So terrified that I will put more in today. :)

One of my goose eggs cracked in the bator. Nothing was touching it. Cracked on the fat end. With 14 days to go. Do they do that when the gosling dies early? It looked good when i candled a couple days ago.

Same thing happened to me (same location - fat end) but it was my fault. I was putting the incubator top down and I cracked the egg. Someone on this thread suggested that that I put wax on the egg and I did. The egg hatched and no problem with the gosling. Don't give up on it yet.
