i'll see ya after you're set up with your 2 trios lol, then we'll hear the plans....

So how did my bator end up with almost 100 cournix eggs?! I'm sure its your fault some how!... there was the 34 or 36 for the hatch along (by the way all look to be alive as best as i can tell), then there were a few from the fair(and i threw in a couple more from my guys to make it a batch, then a friend wanted me to hatch 2 dozen for her, but i also had a few so added them to that batch... this is madness lol

Just a quick question I wanted to ask. I've been reading a lot about cleaning the eggs with an egg cleaner or fumigating them before setting them in the bator and it got me a bit worried. Does anyone on here clean or fumigate their eggs before setting?

I never have, but doesn't mean I wouldn't try it.

180???????????? I got 6! LOL Ok I had 20 eggs and lots of quiters and clears, but I lost 5 that should have hatched. I think it was the move from the bator to the hatcher that late in the game.

Now I need to rehome some. Might be taking some to the auction on monday. I mean I do have more than 6, but that was this last hatch.

I hardly ever get dirty eggs but when I do I just rinse them off with water. But one thing that im a firm believer in is Lysol. I use 2 lil giants for my hatchers and after every use I clean them real good and spray them down real good with Lysol and about every 3-4 weeks I remove the trays in my sportman and wipe it out real good and spray it down too.

Almost half way to hatching, have not candled yet, but the quail keep laying so I figure collect up a bunch more and stick them in there. Have to turn on my hatching cabinet Bator soon for chicken eggs!
