The grate is from some wall mounted display rack from a store. The left side of the coop runs along a creek, and every predator known to chickens. so There is also a layer of hog wire and chicken wire, doing what I can to keep the chickens safe.

I don't get it; almost all of the coops posted here could be entered in a "Best Coop" contest. Where are the UGLY coops? Maybe we need to start over and give a prize to draw them out.

The chickens in coop #3 will go into coop #2 for the winter. I still have to finish the wire dividers and the doors. Right now my daughter has 2 call ducks in there. They are still in quarantine.
The bantams go in the tractors in the day and the hutch at night. The hutch is in the garage. We have never had a car in the garage, so it houses my bantams, hay for the horses, and everything else. No cars allowed!

Here is my ugly coop, worked on it all summer, already planning on my improvements for next summer. Working on coop during day and reading BYC at night. Great Summer!






Everything was re-purposed! Planning on barn siding and another coop and run. Already have another truck cap.
