Beautiful horses everyone! Here are my "monsters"
Manny our newest addition. He is a 10 yr old QH gelding. He was rescued from living in a stall inside a garage. Once his heaves are under control and his feet start looking like hooves again he will be looking for a forever home. I usually rescue a horse or 2 a yr as money permits, he is my 2nd one for 2010 and I am grateful that I have the resources and a very understanding hubby who allows me to do this.
This is Rebel my 10 yr old QH gelding who I bought as a 5 month old and raised and trained. He has turned out to be an awesome horse for my little horse crazy nieces
This is Brandy she is a 19-20 yr old Arab mare who was rescued in 2009 from the same "lovely" place Manny came from. She is healthy and happy now but has a lot of trust and behavior issues and I don't feel comfortable re-homing her so she will live out her yrs here as a pet and my occasional riding partner.
These 2 are my Rocky Mountain Horses. They are also rescues who I feel in love with and will never part with. On the left is Harley he is coming up on 7yrs old and has turned into a wonderful, quiet and patient mount for my other half who just started riding this yr. On the right is Dakota, she is Harley's mom and she is 16yrs old. She is my main riding horse however, my nieces are trying to steal her from me too lol.
And last but not least is Pooter, my 8 yr old Mini mare. I bought her for my niece Paitten when she was 2. Paitten has outgrown her so I turned her into my driving and show horse. 2010 was my frist yr showing with her and I couldn't be prouder of her. She hasn't placed below 3rd in any class and has just been a blast to work with. I think this yr may bring some therapy work with her and who knows where we wil go from there
