Yes! There is a strain of Leo's called super giants... they can get up to 12 inches long and 170 grams! I don't have any of those but the boy I'm thinking of getting is right at 80 grams.

seriously, if you have baby hedgies in the same color as your avatar, DO let me know! that or the same pattern in apricot... or black... or .... ok, maybe I don't care what color. they just give me the bigest case of AAAAAWWWWWW! ever! I just want one that doesn't bite... I was traumatized by a gerbil once, I've still got a scar!

not to mention that once I finally DO have a hedgie, I'm going to stand on my roof and and stick my tongue out and stick my thumbs in my ears and wiggle all my fingers and say "neener neener neener" in the general direction of California, who won't let you have one.

I'm SO glad to be living in a state with more rational laws now!

I will! That shouldn't be hard at all. Well, right now we're having breeding issues but since I breed for dark colored pinto-snowflakes, I'm sure I'll have a dark grey pinto-snowflake at some point. Don't worry, if you get a baby from me they won't bite. And besides, I'll show you proper handling techniques

I've never been bitten by a hedgie, even by my rescues. Knock on wood!

LOL!

It is silly. If though they could survive in some parts of Cal., I seriously doubt there would ever be enough of them loose for a wild population. Beyond that I highly doubt any loose domestic hedgehog would live very long!
