Lets talk about goats!

I have Spanish brush goats an I got lucky on my first go because all my goats are twins and they all had twins and I have people wanting my got
Bad . I can not breed them fast enough . I just sold eight for 75 a goat and they nice an lean , I feed them all stock with chop corn mix in it an hay at night an I learned they love unsalted crackers , do not give them salt because it will cause the male to get urinare blockage and it a lot of money to fix but can not Cour and in ruins the meat . But I love my goats . Not going to make a lot of money like cattle but fun
To have and you can rent them to states forest commissions to keep the forest clean to control forest fires . I read about California doing it

I've read that people put goats with their horses. What kind of fence do you have?

Putting goats and horses together is going to fully depend on your horse.  Some horses are aggressive toward smaller animals and others couldn't care less who they're sharing space with.  If you're going to introduce new animals though, try to do it with them on opposite sides of  fence.  That way they can see and smell each other but the horse can't get to the goat if it does take exception to the new addition.
The goat pen is right across the fence from the horse pasture. I will probably leave the goats in their pen for a week or longer if needed when I first get them so that I can tame them and get them used to eating in there. My gelding is the dominant one and he can be aggressive but the mare is very sweet. Calves have gotten in their pasture before and they didn't pay any attention to them.

Up around the feed is cattle panels, and then 2-strand electric fence over one side of the field, and barbed wire over one side.

Can I keep the weanling filly in there too?

Since they have horns you would want to tie a stick or something on their horns so they don't get stuck in the cattle panel. They could probably get out of the electric fence & the barbed wire fence.

You need to give them some kind of mineral supplement free choice. Not a salt block. Loose mineral for goats is best. It has very little table salt (NaCl) but it does have the levels of copper, zinc, selenium, etc. that they need to in order to be healthy. Dish out the mineral into a pan so they can lick it up as they need it, and refill when it is empty. Make sure to get a mineral for goats, not a mineral that says it is for sheep. It will cause them to become copper deficient since sheep need less than goats.

Hopefully they are lean and not underweight. If bones protrude, they are too thin.

Ok thank you! How could I change to fence to where they will stay in? Add a few strands of electric? If they get out they will get in with the cows, not a big deal as long as they dont go far and come back or are easy to catch!

I THINK ONE OF MY GOATS IS PREGNANT!!!!!!

How far along do they need to be before they get the "bump"?
I'm guessing its similar to humans? Everyone is different?
Baby #1, my stomach stayed flat even the day he was born! Only gained 7 pounds, baby #4, showing at 4 months...

My first fresheners should be due mid February, and while they are getting fat, they don't look pregnant yet...

My only experience with pregnant goats proved to be different for each of the three does. My FF did not get a bump until the last 2 weeks and it was small but Bam Bam her buckling was partying every day for the last month and it was quite obvious she was indeed pregnant. My other two had experience kidding and filled out the last 2 months both had twins, the kids were not nearly as active as Bam Bam and I did not see them move around but could occasionally feel them. Happy kidding!!!
