So I got ahold of the breeder today. Turns out that instead of being bred April 5th-14th she was bred the 25th, making her due date the 22nd of this month so she is only a day late so far.

Not unusual. Have you ever heard of fiascofarm.com? They have lots of pics and explanations concerning pregnant goats and delivering kids. It's a great resource! So I got ahold of the breeder today. That's actually the website the breeder recommended. The later bred date is putting my mind at ease. Not unusual. Have you ever heard of fiascofarm.com? They have lots of pics and explanations concerning pregnant goats and delivering kids. It's a great resource!
Goats rarely have problems with kidding. Doesn't mean they won't so if this is your first go it would be good to go through pics and videos on fias..That's actually the website the breeder recommended. The later bred date is putting my mind at ease.
I think she's getting closer, a little more discharge this morning@moomoodiddy just curious as to how it's going...Any kids yet?![]()
Clear/yellowWhat color is it?
Does it matter the amount of discharge? I've seen pictures where there are globs and she doesn't have that much.OK, when it's very amber colored, a kid will follow shortly. If you stall her, be sure not to leave a water bucket where she can back up to and drop a kid in... Just a tip!![]()
