Lets talk about goats!

What about what goats eat does it affect the way the milk taste. I've always thought if you fed certain grains the milk would be sweeter

I don't know about grains, but I can tell you if goats eat certain strong flavored things like wild garlic or onions and certain plants in the cabbage family, it will affect milk flavor.
 
The biggest downer with goats, in my experience, is that you need really good fences, or an electric fence. Goats are quiet intelligent and if they want to go somewhere they will find a way. Once they know about electric fences they will not go near it even if it is turned off.
 
My goats hang out with the chickens when I let them out to free range. It is not an all the time thing but they do well together.
