Let's talk Cuckoo and WHITE marans... breeding strategies...

Here are pictures of the White Pullets that won at the Bluebonnet. Please don't ask me what the RV pullet was doing when the camera snapped. She really is a nice pullet. I will try to post pictures of the Cuckoos later. I will have to go and find them this afternoon.

You might want to ask on the Silkie thread.... they are a WHOLE different thing with those feathers. There is also something called autosomal barring, but I couldn't tell you what that is on a breed I don't have or know anything about.
 
Thankfully the weather report looks like the next few days are going to be nice around here. A little cool, but not freezing. We have to get chickens washed and ready to go to Ft Worth next weekend. All of my goat friends are there now. I keep getting texts and emails with updates on the goat show. Sad that we are not there, but looking forward to next weekend at the Poultry Barn.

Anyone else planning to be at the Ft Worth Exposition and Livestock Show next weekend? After that one, we will be off for a few weeks and then we will be headed to Newnan, Georgia if the weather permits.
